Economic empowerment through YEA‑R (2025)
In 2025, UWEZO expanded livelihood and economic empowerment for youth with disabilities through the YEA‑R (Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture – Rwanda) Program, implemented with consortium partners and supported by the Mastercard Foundation.

- Tailored skills development and entrepreneurship capacity building
- Disability Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) awareness and practical accessibility support
- Market engagement through Access-to-Market (A2M) and Business-to-Business (B2B) connections
Participation highlights (2025)
- Year 1: 229 youth with disabilities enrolled (9.09%), above the 5% target
- Year 2: 484 youth with disabilities enrolled (6.7%) out of 7,200 participants
